Things to keep us Mindful in Autumn
Here at the Attic, we see mindfulness as an easy way to relax our minds, let go of our daily stresses and let happiness in. Here are just a few simple things to keep in mind as the Summer draws to a close.
Take in your tea
Though most of us enjoy tea all year round, now is the perfect time to settle back into your favourite chair, your best mug in hand and watch the world around you bloom with golden hues. We suggest trying a new tea this Autumn, really taking the time to appreciate its colours, vibrant aromas and flavours that you might not have come across before. Let the calmness wash over you and know that a moment spent in peaceful enjoyment is never a moment wasted.
Summer is so fast-paced an exciting that sometimes we forget to simply take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. Now that Autumn is here you have the perfect excuse to take some time for yourself. Indulge in a deep bath, read a book or take a stroll outside to admire the world in a blaze of golden colour.
Remember to feast
Autumn isn't all about the harvest - feast your eyes on the changing landscape as the trees shed their leaves and make a deliciously crunchy carpet beneath our feet; feast your heart on those magical feelings of a crisp autumn morning, when the light breaks through the mist in sparkling rays of palest gold; and of course feast your stomach on blackberries, apples and honey roasted pumpkins. Take in all that is around you, sit back and enjoy as the seasons change.
